About Séance Fiction:

Filming Séance Fiction was a fantastic experience. The cast and crew were made up of a group of close friends who had worked together for many years so there was great camaraderie about the set. It was great to take a group of my friends away from Glasgow to work together in a fairly isolated location over 2 weeks. The idea of the story came from wanting to use the Highlands of Scotland as the setting – I felt the landscape would be perfect for a supernatural thriller. That area of Scotland has a very supernatural aura about it, so I hope that it’s something that comes across in the film.

About Mixed Messages:

The process of making Mixed Messages happened very quickly. I wrote the script in late November 2009 and by the end of December the same year we had shot the film. The idea for the script came from a real-life experience of a friend who received a text message from an unrecognised number and subsequently began ‘chatting’ with this ‘stranger’ via texts. I liked the way the story fused that feeling of hope and positivity with both main characters naturally feel in each other having never actually met.

Future productions:

The next production I’m Directing is a short film (again a thriller) called ‘End of the Line’ which will be shooting in June 2011 in the Borders of Scotland.
