Director Etienne Goldet

began his career in film and television in France where he was also born and raised. Etienne is a highly experienced French documentary filmmaker. He worked extensively in film and television in France and his works range from 20th century history (he is also a historian) to biographies of fine novelists.

After many years of working on documentary style film, Etienne decided to go back to film school and learn to make films through narrative story telling. He left his hometown in France and ventured to Los Angeles, CA where he attended New York Film Academy. It was there that he made his first short film titled ONE PART MISSING. Etienne graduated the film program and returned to France.

From that point forward, Etienne began writing and creating many different scripts. He came up with one script titled FREAKY SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and decided to make this his signature film. Etienne began raising funds to get his 35 mm film made and did it in 3 years time. With production taking place both in Paris, France and Palmdale, CA, Etienne was going to need a French Production Company and an American Production Company.

This would be the start of a longtime relationship with Cee French Harth and Paul Harth of Chiron Films, Inc.. Etienne found Chiron Films, Inc. and connected with them to handle production in America. Paul and Cee are both native Californians and longtime filmmakers. Both of them have a great deal of talent bringing writing, directing and producing to life on the screen in their own projects as well as co-productions. You can see all of their works and bios on their website www.chironfilmsinc.com.

Chiron Films, Inc. was initially located in Los Angeles, CA but soon spread to the east coast of New York City. It was in October 2009 that Chiron Films, Inc. produced the American unit of the film in Palmdale, CA. They are also whom obtained Gary Busey into the dramedy – sci-fi per Etienne’s request for a crazy character (and he wanted Gary) needed to play the gas station manager of a dust ball Texas dump. This is where the lead character Gregoire is transported to when the universe decides to throw him a curve ball for being an arrogant ass in the film.

The film to date has been in 8 film festivals and won two awards. It won Best Director at the Philadelphia First Glance Film Festival and it won Festival Spotlight Award from Beverly Hills Film, Television and New Media Festival. Etienne and Chiron Films, Inc. will also be awarded an honorary award at the IFQ Awards this year in Cannes. Freaky Saturday Night Fever will be screened if you wish to catch it. Etienne and Chiron Films, Inc. are partnered up to shoot a feature this fall titled Tupelo 77, Directed by Etienne Goldet and Produced by Chiron Films, Inc., which takes place in Mississippi in the year 1977.
