Davie (Dougie Wallace) isnʼt recognising his neighbours, heʼs going to the store and forgetting why he went; at home he asks the same thing again and again; and when he gets frustrated, heʼs starting to turn aggressive. A game of cards with his grandson Gordon (Jim Webster-Stewart) turns into an ugly fight, as he accuses Gordon of being an old rival for his wifeʼs affections. After a visit to the family doctor, Davie is diagnosed with earlyonset vascular dementia. For his daughter Linda (Floss Ross), it is a real shock: “Heʼs the one I used to turn to for help with problems, now he is the problem” Dementia in all its forms is an increasingly prevalent condition across the world, and this film tries to highlight that the sufferer is still a person, not a condition. Changed Days is a moving, poignant film about seeing the person with dementia, rather than the condition. Based on the moving stageplay by Alison Couston, and directed by David Goodall, Changed Days is a sometimes emotional, sometimes funny drama with a superb, moving and authentic performance from Dougie Wallace, beautifully supported by Floss Ross and a strong ensemble cast
